Report an incident at or conflict of intrests

We are extremely sorry that you experienced or observed an upsetting or unpleasant incident at a Blue Veins event. We'd like to know more about it, so that we can work to ensure that such incidents don't happen again.

There is no obligation to identify yourself on this form, but if you would like us to respond, please include your name and email address.

This form will be monitored throughout the event and beyond. There is no time limit for making your report. You may also speak to any member of the Blue Veins team during the event.

Code of Conduct for all Blue Veins events

Blue Veins is dedicated to a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religious opinions. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in our events, in any form, online or offline.
This code of conduct applies to all Blue Veins spaces, including: social media, mailing lists, conference venues, workshops, and social events

How to report an incident

Violations of the following code may be reported face-to-face to any member of the Blue Veins team at events.
Alternatively, if you wish to make an online report, which may be anonymous, you can do so here.
If the person who is harassing you is on the team, they will remove themselves from handling your incident. We will respond as promptly as we can.

What constitutes a violation of the Code of Conduct?

Violations include, but are not limited to:

  • Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, or religion
  • Sexual comments or images in public or directly to attendees, without permission
  • Deliberate intimidation; following or stalking
  • Photography or recording of specific participants unless explicit permission has been given*
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events
  • Inappropriate physical contact; unwelcome sexual attention

Event attendees asked to cease in any of the behaviour listed above will be expected to comply immediately. On receiving a report of violations, the event organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund.

If you are being harassed by another participant in the event, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the Blue Veins team using the reporting process set out above. All reports will be handled in the strictest confidence.
