Marasta Helpline “0800-02828”

Blue Veins, with the support of IOM Pakistan has established “Toll-free - Marasta Helpline 0800-02828” aiming to provide referral services to Displaced Afghans (Afghan Citizen Card AAC holder) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on issues related to Gender-Based Violence (GBV), protection risks, and providing immediate support and information about dedicated services available to the Displaced Afghan community in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.”

Ban on E-Cigarettes in KP

In result to extensive and high level stakeholder engagement of Blue Veins and CSOs-led‘Alliance for Sustainable Tobacco Control’, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa imposed section 144 on 16th January to ban the storage, sale, and use of e-cigarettes and vapes for minors under 21 and within the vicinity of educational institutions in the Province for sixty days.

Minority-inclusive Higher Education

Blue Veins in collaboration with National Commission for Human Rights, successfully organized Provincial level Consultation with 27 Public Universities of KP, which marked a significant stride towards unanimous commitment towards improved compliance of 2% minority admission quota in higher education.

Rise and Shine Network

Blue Veins in collaboration with Pakistan Education Champion Network (PECN) has launched “Rise & Shine Girls Education Leadership Network” in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Network comprising young girls from Government and private schools is formed to empower and strengthen girls' leadership to champion issue of girls’ education in KP and enable girls voice to better frame concerns related to education at relevant forums.
