TransAction Pakistan

TransAction is the first ever organized transgender movement of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which represent transgender from 25 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA). TransAction is working for the wellbeing and protection of transgender community and making efforts to improve gender identity and gender reassignment equality, rights and inclusion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

TransAction Alliance aims to reclaim spaces for transgender community and end transphobia in the conservative and radicalized society of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA. The alliance is committed to break barriers for Trans rights in conservative Pakistani society, where transgender community is punished by prison or killed in the name of culture, tribal values and religion and faces hate crimes and exclusion every day. Trans Action is providing space to trans community to share ideas, opinions and problems, its long-term goal is to change attitudes towards transphobia in Pakistan and has started its efforts with the hopes that trans members using TransAction will find the confidence to stand up for their rights.

Men in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has joined hands to Initiate MEN UNiTE. MEN UNiTE is an alliance for women to feel hopeful about men in Pakistan. It’s a movement of men standing with women in the struggle to end violence and abuse. But this alliance will do more, revealing an emerging man culture where men are reclaiming their tears and their hearts as they join women, transgender and children in creating a world where we are all safe and free.

This alliance is launched with a mission to support men in developing healthy self-awareness and meaningful personal relationships with women, children and other men that move beyond the limits of masculine stereotypes and social patterns that have divided men historically. The alliance seeks to engage men in a quest for emotional and social literacy, in the practice of respectful attitudes and treatment towards others, and in the development of constructive means of conflict resolution.

Provincial Alliance to End Early, Child and Forced Marriages (KP/FATA)

Provincial Alliance to End Early, Child and Forced Marriages (KP/FATA) in an effort to strengthen the collaboration of stakeholders on addressing the devastating effects of this harmful practice girls and boys in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA). The Alliance is instrumental in pulling efforts of stakeholders together in view of the fact that the practice is deep rooted and have several social, political and religious dimensions.

The alliance members regularly share information about effective approaches that can help ending child marriage and explore new ideas to give child marriage more visibility on the Govt. agenda. The Provincial Alliance to End Early, Child and Forced Marriages (KP/FATA) is playing a n important role in developing common language and messaging on the issue of child marriage in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA as well as allow for the sharing of information on best practices, with an emphasis on local-level change.
